I joined this platform in 2010 wanting to share my drawings, learn and bask at the wonderful art that was on this site. The community was so nice, the comments were light hearted and encouraging, very talented artists shared their resources and tutorials for free, took requests and participated in art trades, thus creating a wonderfully positive and productive environment for emerging artists. Without the community here, I would have maybe not continued drawing, I might have not made so many artist friends , learned so many exciting things or gotten a job in the industry. So upon reading the "Unlock More Benefits with Core Membership" my feeling was that deviantart is extremely disconnected from its userbase. I felt outraged even though these changes do not affect me personally, especially since I do not take point commissions from this site or need a core membership.
